They will be delighted to give you a throwing demonstration on request, and will be delighted to share their passion and know-how with you.

The terroir

PATRIMONIO

Since 2002, Julien Truchon has been creating and exhibiting his work in Patrimonio, Corsica, the land from which he draws his inspiration. Immersed at an early age in the world of pottery and arts and crafts by his father André, Julien decided to study economics in Montpellier. This experience made him aware of his fascination with clay. Determined to pursue his dream, Julien set off to train as a ceramic turner at Saint Amand en Puisyae in Burgundy. This intensive 2-year apprenticeship enabled him to approach the craft with technique and rigor. In 2004, winner of the SEMA Jeunes prize (Société d'Encouragement aux Métiers d'Art) for the Corsica region, he concluded his training with an initiatory trip to Japan, where he met Japanese potters practicing traditional wood firing. Today, Julien practises his art between the sea and the mountains, in a 25-year-old workshop with a lovely exhibition space where you can discover his work.

Based on the Nebbiu plain near Lake Padula, our knives are entirely handmade. From traditional Corsican shepherd's knives to folding knives with mechanisms, all our creations are unique pieces made without templates.

To enter the world of Ribella, the autonomous Corsican beer, is to discover unique craft beers, created in a short circuit, from field to glass. Born in the heart of the prestigious Patrimonio PDO vineyards, founder Pierre-Francois Maestracci set himself the mission of making his beers as rich and complex as the fine wines that surround them. In its eleven years of existence, the brewery has developed a farm-brewery model that is still relatively undeveloped in Europe - because it is particularly demanding - producing its own organic beers from the cultivation of cereals with 25 hectares of malting barley to bottling in Patrimonio. Ribella is one of the only breweries in France to brew its beers with spring water, which has enabled the brewery to obtain the demanding Brasseur Indépendant label, guaranteeing production according to the rules of the craft brewing art.

"Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée PATRIMONIO MUSCAT DU CAP CORSE. The intertwining hills shelter the vineyards from the wind, while the warm westerly sun shines on the leaves. Vines have always thrived here, aided by the quality of the soil. Winegrowers have developed ancestral know-how. The wines are of great nobility, perfectly reflecting the distinctive characteristics of the great Corsican grape varieties.
